Access to administrative documents

Under the terms of decree No. 2005-1755 of 30 December 2005 relating to freedom of access to administrative documents and the re-use of public information, taken in application of law No. 78-753 of 17 July 1978, Metz City Hall must designate a person responsible for the access to administrative documents and questions relating to the re-use of public information.

Under this title, this person is responsible for:

  • Receipt of requests for access to administrative documents and a licence to re-use public information, as well as any eventual complaints and to oversee their investigation;
  • Ensuring the link between the authority by which he or she is designated and the commission for access to administrative documents.

He or she may also be responsible for establishing an annual review of requests for access to administrative documents and licences to re-use public information that he or she presents to the authority by which he or she is designated, and also sends a copy to the Commission on access to administrative documents.
