For this workshop, which mirrors the Chagall exhibition, Antonin Caniparoli, the Bearer of Light, invites you to play with the various forms of sacred art. Deliberately distorting the shape of the altarpiece, the decorated architectural feature placed behind the altar in most churches, to make it resemble a stained-glass window, he has chosen to combine it with paper cut-outs and stamps in shapes inspired by those found in Chagall's paintings. Their appropriation and use allows children to play and understand the numerous symbols found in the master's paintings and stained-glass windows. In a hushed atmosphere reminiscent of the interior of a cathedral, those taking part in the workshop get to create a small and colourful object.
